Last night in a dream, in a flicker
I saw myself.
Everything.
So brief, fleeting, even ephemeral
And it left me transparent;
In a blink, everything, simply all.
Translucent yet enthroning,
Clichéd perhaps, but in such overwhelming depth;
The ultimate insight.
A full life in a spark, a singular event
Of unfathomable intensity,
I saw myself, in the blink of an eye,
So concentrated, passionate and yet profound.
Intense truth, like an explosion in my mind.
I saw the past, the present, the future
And to the place where I can’t look;
Shreds of barbed actuality,
Flying out like shrapnel.
A tragic snap shot of everything,
I saw a lifetime – beyond intense.
The briefest slice of time – a flash, a shock of light
I saw myself.
That night.
