The Kemptown Verses

By JJ Leahy

I De-construct

I de-construct

Watch the renaissance,
Of the bland
March across killing fields
Hand in hand

Are you familiar
Do you practice familiarity?

Only through, innocent eyes
Would one really, empathize

Just a matter of Metaphysics and
shiny bangles
When life become inverse
See how it handles?

Fast track the relationship
Over in one day
Discard the experience
Now flush it away;

Why? You
But you alone understand

I de-construct
Least I try.

You are perfect
Is what I find
You are beauty
And you are kind.

While for me
With a cynical eye
Emboldened by mistrust
Will always ask why;

I de-construct this.

Life is an exposition,
An ongoing
Juxtaposition
Of despondency and false hope.

Whether inside out in Belgravia
Or enjoy the tyranny of a saviour
Driven by anxiety or tradition
Still just another, Differential Exhibition.

You have no prejudice
Free of floors,
You are unique
No need for claws;

Some people are petty
Some people are nothing
But you, well
You are everything.

I de-construct

I exist to my self
With many types of face;

Some of malevolent tongue
As extreme pornography
Or as flamboyance,
And succulent debauchery.

But I have no conviction,
Yet I still de-construct

I see others, who just eat and shit,
If you please
I see others,
As chimpanzees.

I de-construct I

Your aura, can not be eclipsed;
So, I am blessed

I de-construct, happiness
I understand myself – by my thinking presence
The name I call myself.
I

Timendi causa est nescire,
Does the blind fold make things any clearer?
But without you
I de-construct not.
